We are starting a coalition of Los Angeles’ music communities. We are primarily interested in bringing together:

  • Independent Venues (will likely make an exception for The Echo/Sayers/similar)

  • Independent/Community-Oriented Promoters

  • Some Blogs

Initial Goals Include:

  • Building & strengthening a healthy community

    • establish committees for various areas of interest/action

    • discord server for community

    • twitter account to highlight/retweet all shows and events that coalition members are doing (idea from Grant Owens)

    • bi-monthly or monthly virtual meetings (+ in person activities once safe)

  • Keeping live music alive

    • finding ways to support LA venues/promoters/artists

    • ways to improve virtual live music experiences

    • ways to create safe outdoor live music experiences

    • collaborations between various entities inside of the coalition

  • Accountability and resources for a fully inclusive and intersectional music community including equitable representation of talent (amplifying these communities where needed: BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and womxn)

    • launch a mentorship/seminar program dedicated to artists who have been historically underrepresented to equip them with tools plus a network to help them to help themselves (idea from Evan Volk)

The form below will be used to supply relevant information to those participating. The more information you provide, the better and easier this process becomes as we move forward!

Let’s make our world better, together!
